Enlightra x ECSTATIC

In a cross-European effort to advance seismic sensing, Enlightra’s dual-microcomb technology has taken its first steps in Spain. Installed at Universidad de Alcalá, the system is now undergoing testing for high-resolution interferometry, marking a key milestone in the EU-funded ECSTATIC project.

Enlightra x ECSTATIC

As part of the EU-funded project Engineering Combined Sensing and Telecommunications Architectures for Tectonic and Infrastructure Characterisation (ECSTATIC), Enlightra’s optical frequency comb technology has been installed at the Universidad de Alcalá for initial optical characterization and interferometry tests, carried out in collaboration with the University of West Attica.

Enlightra is proud to contribute to this pioneering initiative by developing the world’s first dual-microcomb engine for advanced interferometry and polarization-based sensing applications. This innovation will offer an unprecedented level of resolution and sensitivity, essential for the early detection of earthquakes and tsunamis.
